Custom Built Composite Kayaks

Based on the classic British SeaKing kayak design, the Trinity SeaKing is a very capable expedition or day boat with a good turn of speed. The hull shape is at the narrower end of the spectrum and with its slightly longer waterline length, the SeaKing balances speed and stability.

The large volume enables adequate kit to be carried for expeditions. There is plenty of leg-room, and the thigh-bracing around the rim can be tailored for you. The small cockpit (slightly larger than a traditional ocean cockpit) leaves more of the foredeck for storage, maps, front hatches etc, and gives better contact with the boat for control whilst paddling.

Our standard composite construction consists of a double Diolen hull and deck and an internal Kevlar keel strip. If you require a more robust construction for your intended use (eg you’ll launch your boat in rocky conditions) then additional Kevlar can be put in the hull. If you use your boat for instructing extra deck reinforcing can be added.

Because each boat is built individually to your requirements, hatches, rudders and other fittings are placed where you want them.

A wide range of colours and finishes are available. You suggest it - we’ll try and match it!

Bareboat or Fitted? There are so many ways to enjoy sea-kayaking, from full scale expeditions to a half day outing. That’s why Al offers you the choice in fittings for your boat. If you want hatches for kit storage then you can choose how many and where you want them. If you want a compass in front of the cockpit, no problem. If you want a skeg or rudder to suit your paddling style just ask.

Or, if like Al you are fortunate enough to go out paddling for an hour or so every evening, and you don’t need the extra weight that these fittings bring, then have your boat with clean lines.
